Lambert-St Louis International Airport

Located 10 miles south of downtown St Louis, Lambert Airport is the busiest air hub in Missouri. It offers around 255 daily departures to 90 international and domestic destinations. 13 million passengers fly into St Louis every year on Air Canada, AirTran, Alaska Airlines, American, Cape Air, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United, and US Airways. The busiest domestic route is to Chicago followed by Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, and Minneapolis. The only regular international flight is to Toronto on Air Canada.

There are two terminals and five concourses at the airport. There are plenty of restaurants in both terminals, from fast food to snacks and sit-down dining. Shops range from newsstands to fashion stores and gift shops. Wi-Fi internet spans the entire airport and there is a full service bank in Terminal 1 and ATMs throughout.

Ground transportation is provided by taxis and limos, which are found outside the terminal area, as well as public transportation on the Metrolink light rail. GO BEST operates shared shuttle vans downtown, while four car rental companies are on hand for passengers who prefer to drive themselves. The airport is located just off Interstate 70 for easy driving anywhere in the state.

Kansas City International Airport

Missouri’s second airport is situated 15 miles north of downtown Kansas City. Over 10 million people fly into Kansas City annually, mainly to and from domestic destinations. Flights around the US are provided by AirTran, Alaska Airlines, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United, and US Airways. The only regular international flight is to Toronto via Air Canada. The busiest domestic routes are to Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, and Phoenix.

The airport’s three terminals have a full range of passenger amenities including a dozen options for food and drink in each wing and several kinds of shops. There is Wi-Fi internet throughout the airport.

Ground transportation is provided by 11 car rental outfits which can be accessed by the Grey Rental Car Shuttle from the terminal exit, along with taxis and limos. There are also a dozen airport shuttle vans for door-to-door service, and connections via the city’s Metro public bus network.
