DAY 1

The Prague Castle is one of the top tourist destinations in the Czech Republic and for good reason: the beautiful architecture will take your breath away, and the history of the towering buildings will do the same. While the site is referred to as a singular castle, there are actually several gorgeous palaces and buildings on the site, each unique and more beautiful than the next. There are also grand and spectacular gardens so it's worthwhile to book a guided tour to learn about the palaces as you explore.

10 AM - NAPLAVKA FARMERS MARKET

If your trip to Prague falls over a weekend, day two should commence with a visit to the local farmer’s market. The Naplavka Farmers Market will be bustling with people eager to sample and snack on fresh fruits and vegetables along with drinks and hot dishes. The market is located on the riverfront, so feel free to toss some bread to the swans while you wander and enjoy your breakfast.

A dedicated public art and graffiti piece honoring John Lennon's death, in 2014, art students painted the wall entirely white with the phrase “Wall Is Over.” New art immediately began to fill the space with images and messages inspired by the Beatles, peace, and love. While the wall is different than it was back in the '80s (and changes every day!), it’s a beautiful and moving must-see while in Prague. Feel free to add your own touch.
1:30 PM - THE PRAGUE BEER MUSEUM

Ultra-tasty meat is on the menu for a heavy meal at Nase Maso, which is both a butcher shop and restaurant. Go with a group so you can sample a variety of their acclaimed sausages, meatloaf, and pork. Madame Butterfly, Aida, and Peer Gynt are all on the schedule for the 2016-2017 season at Prague’s State Opera, and what better way to round out a packed day in the city than by taking in a world-famous opera in a historic venue?
