There are a number of festivals and events throughout the year in St. George, including their annual Dickens Christmas Festival, with concerts and plays regularly held at the local Tabernacle. They host an annual Boston-qualifying marathon, and have a number of championship golf courses that are playable year-round thanks to the mild weather.

Of course, access to the state and national parks of the area is unmatched. With almost everything within easy driving distance, it's the perfect basecamp for adventure seekers. Want to go for a mountain bike ride? Head up to Gooseberry Mesa, where a miles of cycling trails spiderweb across slick rock. Feel like a beautiful hike? Check out Snow Canyon and wander through the red sandstone cliffs and petrified dunes. Interested in rock climbing? The Woodbury Road Crags are just outside town and Utah Hills are close by, too .There is no end to the list of outdoor pursuits that you can test your mettle with in St. George. And no matter where you go, whether it is a state park, national park, or simply BLM land, you will surely find some beautiful scenery as splendor abounds.
