With hundreds of miles of hiking trails to blaze, you don’t want to waste your time on a fancy, leisurely brunch. Make a quick pit stop at Wildflower Bread Company, an awesome bakery where you can grab breakfast sandwiches to go. Fuel up fast, you have a busy day ahead!

9 AM CATHEDRAL ROCK

Sedona is breathtakingly beautiful wherever you look, but one particularly special place is Cathedral Rock. There’s a small entrance fee for the park, which will grant you access to hiking, the river, picnic tables, and bathrooms. If it’s a warm day, be sure to bring your swimsuit and a towel.

12 PM CHOCOLATREE

It should come as no surprise that Sedona is home to a handful of really great vegan restaurants with locally sourced, scratch made menu staples. Even meat eaters shouldn’t miss a meal at Chocolatree where each dish is “created using 100% organic, vibrant foods, gluten-free and processed-sugar free.” It’s a totally new-age organic oasis complete with crystals, affirmation cards and discussions of Eckhart Tolle’s teachings.

1 PM WINDOW SHOP

Downtown Sedona is an easy stroll up and down Main Street. Most shops are filled with souvenirs or energetically rich stones. Either way, it’s fun to browse the many art galleries full of Southwestern creations. When you’re ready for a break, grab an ice cream cone and find a bench to enjoy the magnificent views of Red Rock Country.

5 PM ELOTE CAFE

It may seem early, but it’s already time to head to dinner. Located right in your hotel Elote Café, doesn’t take reservations so you’ll have to wait just like everyone else. But that’s to be expected from one of the top 5 Mexican restaurants in the U.S. Order the corn appetizer and check the board for the margarita flavor of the day. If you want to bring Elote’s food home with you, you can buy the cookbook and have it autographed by the chef.

7 PM FULL MOON SALOON

Giddy up! It’s time for evening fun at the Full Moon Saloon in the Village of Oak Creek. Get ready to shoot some pool, listen to live music or sing your heart out at open mic night. Check the website for daily events and happenings.

8 AM THE RED ROCK CAFE

Billed as “food so good you’ll plan your day around it,” the Red Rock Café is a favorite local spot for Southwest flavors like huevos rancheros and chicken fried steak. You’ll want to stop somewhere to grab some picnic items for the day and maybe even take one of their gigantic cinnamon rolls to go.

9 AM SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK

Named one of the 10 Best State Parks in the country, hit the trail early and hike your heart out. When you get to a good stopping point, enjoy your picnic lunch and explore what Slide Rock was named for. A natural water slide that ends in a slippery creek, have fun splashing around and embracing your inner-child.

1 PM PINK JEEP TOUR

You can’t escape Sedona without noticing the pink jeeps everywhere. Join the club and sign up for a Pink Jeep tour. While there are many options available, we recommend the Coyote Canyons tour. These jeeps can take you where you won’t be able to access with your own car, just be ready for bumps because this is serious off-roading.

3 PM TLAQUEPAQUE ARTS & CRAFTS VILLAGE

If you haven’t gotten your fill of local art yet, head to the internationally renowned Tlaquepaque shopping center to check out the galleries. Sedona’s Arts & Crafts Village, every vendor is a vibrant and colorful celebration for the senses. If you want to buy, though, you'll need to write a large check.

6 PM OAK CREEK BREWING CO.

Hang around Tlaquepaque to eat at the Oak Creek Brewing Co. Try local beers and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. The burgers are great, but the brews are even better. Can’t decide? Get a sampler!
