Day 1

Arrive Arusha, Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! You are met upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, and escorted to your deluxe hotel in Arusha.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure, perhaps take time for a tour of the lodge’s coffee estate. ​(D)

Day 2

Arusha & Tarangire National Park

Early this morning you are taken to Arusha Airport for your 8am flight to the Kuro Airstrip inside Tarangire National Park. You are met upon arrival by the Oliver's Camp team, and escorted to your luxury tent accommodations.

This afternoon, enjoy an exciting afternoon shared game drive through Tarangire National Park. Covering 1,000 square miles, the national park teems with wildlife throughout the year, with an exceptionally dense population during the dry season (June – October). You can spot leopard, lion, cheetah, lion and buffalo. Tarangire is also home to some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa. ​(B,L,D)

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Today enjoy your choice of a full day of activities, including game drives – in the morning, afternoon and night. Take a game-walk with a naturalist guide to get a different view of the wildlife and your surroundings.

In the evening, enjoy sundowners stop atop Sunset Hill. ​(B,L,D)

Day 4

Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

This morning, you are taken to the Kuro Airstrip for your flight to Manyara. On arrival, you are met and transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater. The legendary Ngorongoro Crater, known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” was once a gigantic volcano; when it collapsed, a caldera was formed measuring 12 miles across. The Ngorongoro Crater is ringed by an amphitheater of steep 1,640-foot-high walls, and is known for the variety and abundance of its wildlife species.

Upon arrival, descend to the crater floor, allowing you to explore this vast intact ecosystem and its residents including giant-tusked elephant, black-maned lions, leopard, some of Africa’s last black rhino and many others. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, followed by more game viewing.

Late afternoon drive out of the crater and check-into the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, your home for the night. Relax over evening cocktails and dinner at the lodge. ​(B,L,D)

Day 5

Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

This morning enjoy a visit to an authentic Masai village.

Following an early lunch, you are transferred back to the Manyara Airstrip for your flight to the Serengeti. You are met upon arrival by the Sayari Camp team, and taken on an exhilarating afternoon shared game drive en route to the camp.

Settle in, and enjoy a relaxing evening at the camp, your home for the next three nights. ​(B,L,D)

Day 6 & 7

Serengeti National Park

Spend two days exploring the vast Serengeti. In the great Serengeti kingdom, the large predators – lion, leopard, cheetah and spotted hyena – remain locked in an age-old battle for supremacy, with millions of herbivores as their quarry. Your action-packed game drives give you a glimpse of the black-maned lion, for which the park is renowned, as well as cheetahs and hyenas. Prey for the cats includes the million-plus wildebeests, predominate herbivores, as well as zebra, giraffe, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland and impala. Bird-watching opportunities also abound in this unrivaled natural area. Guided game walks take you along the banks of the Great Grumeti River for more wildlife viewing opportunities.

Enjoy a Bush lunch between your morning and afternoon safaris, and return to the camp in time for sundowners and dinner each evening. ​(2B,2L,2D)

Day 8

Serengeti to Arusha & Depart

This morning, depart the camp and enjoy a game drive en route to the Kogatende Airstrip for your onward flight to Arusha.

Upon arrival, you are met by the Arusha Coffee Lodge team and taken to the lodge. Enjoy lunch and a day room to freshen up and relax before your transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departing flight home or on to your next destination. ​(B,L)
