Day 1-3

Bangkok, Thailand

Explore the breathtaking Royal Grand Palace, the legendary Emerald Buddha, and vibrant Chinatown. Other highlights of our time here include cruising the Thoburi klongs (canals), the stunning Temple of Dawn, and the magnificent Royal Barges.

Day 4+5

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Your senses will explode as we visit amazing handcraft markets, the famous night bazaar, ancient temples, iconic shrines, the engaging Elephant Conservation Center, and – a true highlight of this journey – take an unforgettable jungle adventure, riding elephants to visit exotic hill tribes.

Day 6+7

Luang Prabang, Laos

Chanting monks, colorful markets, an early morning Mekong cruise, the famous caves of Pak Ou, a sample of Lao liquor (rice wine), a visit to the solid gold Buddha, and a traditional Baci ceremony give us a perfect view of this UNESCO World Heritage city.

Day 8-10

Siem Reap, Cambodia

After visiting the Wat Visoun stupa, we fly to Siem Reap and one of the world’s most famous sites, Angkor Wat. We’ll also visit ancient Angkor Thom and the eerie jungleclad temple of Ta Prohm.

Day 11+12

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

In this city of contrasts, we visit the site of Cambodia’s infamous Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. Then we’ll experience the revitalization of this ancient culture in the splendid Royal Palace and stunning Silver Pagoda, as well as the Musee des Beaux Arts.

Day 13+14

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

An orientation tour welcomes us to the pulse of Vietnam. A visit to the renown Cu Chi Tunnels takes us into the world of Vietnam’s resistance. Returning to the city, we’ll explore beautiful architectural landmarks.

An afternoon visit to the Reunification Palace includes the former president’s office and the extensive underground communications bunker.

Day 15+16

Da Dang, Vietnam

We visit the extensive Cham Museum and enjoy a stunning drive over the Hai Van Pass, then travel to beautiful Hoi An. Enjoy a ride in a three-wheeled bicycle taxi through its narrow cobblestone streets before a cruise on the Thu Bon River.

Day 17

Hanoi & Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Today, we travel to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our overnight cruise aboard a traditional Chinese-style junk showcases the bay’s natural beauty and unique karst geology.

Day 18+19

Hanoi, Vietnam

We return to Hanoi where we will visit the Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and experience a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. As we explore Hanoi, we will see the serene One Pillar Pagoda before visiting Hoa Lo Prison, the notorious “Hanoi Hilton.”
